In another of my rounds in the arcade salon at Jiang’ning Road, Shanghai, I found one of the “bosses” that patrol the place. A tough guy, serious, not to mess with. However, this time he was sitting in a corridor with stuffed-animals game dealing machines in the background. The contrast was starking. Softness and roughness in the same shot. And in such interesting manifestations. I had to overcome my initial fears but asked him if I could take a photo of him posing as the boss of the place. He said he was ok with it and I’m glad he did.
